Candidates will need to have an expertise with logical and physical data modeling and on requirements gathering process strongly desired. S/he should have an in-depth knowledge of enterprise data architecture, and sound knowledge of various database disciplines, including, data retention period, performance tuning etc. Must have experience in defining and recommending best practices and principles of data architecture. Knowledge and experience in the areas of Data Warehousing, BI, ETL, and Data Aggregation, and data access. SQL performance monitoring and optimal performance tuning experience also desired. Proven expertise in architecting highly scalable Transaction Processing systems, ODS, Data Warehouses and Data marts. Familiarity with areas of data management including data security, data quality, metadata management, data integration, information lifecycle management etc is critical. Experience working in financial industry is highly desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implements data architecture for corporate data governance and database design principles. Adheres to the established data architecture methodologies and standards, and in compliance with company policy.
- Designs stable and flexible high performance database solutions, maximizing data reuse and avoiding data redundancy, according to the current and anticipated business rules, following SDLC. Works with other stakeholders in optimizing database solutions. Identify and recommend ways to drive more value out of the company's data. Collaborate with application/solution architects & DBAs in implementing data integration architecture, information delivery architecture
- Performs SQL Development and Optimization. Provides technical oversight and guidance to SQL developers for optimal leverage of database design. Assists in defining SQL best practice guidelines, and develops code samples and solution fragments for efficient usage of database resources. Reviews SQL code, analyzes query plans/costs and optimizes SQL code, for access path efficiency, improved response time and throughput, and reduced cost of maintenance and total cost of ownership.
- Assist in Database and Host Configuration and Optimization: Work with DBAs and infrastructure team to help define to ensure SLAs around availability, recoverability, failover etc., to define maintenance windows for backups, re-orgs, gathering statistics, recycles etc. and to review and optimize Database and Host configuration for optimal performance. Works with performance engineering team to instrument performance metrics for identifying and resolving Host, Network, Storage, Database and SQL bottlenecks.

Searching for a negotiator/program manager who will function as a procurement specialist in its Pittsburgh-based Corporate Sourcing Department. Candidate will assist with the daily management of the Company’s Contract Labor program including, but not limited to, regular management reporting, researching and resolving customer questions, contract management and other activities associated with the management of a program with a large base of internal and external constituents. The Company’s contract labor program is administered through a third party ASP solution.
The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience, preferably within the financial services industry. Ideal candidate has a combination of contract negotiation experience or knowledge of contract terms and familiarity with labor law (i.e. FLSA, co-employment issues, etc.).
The Candidate must possess:
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Extensive knowledge of various types of pricing structures as well as associated contract terms, conditions, and legal ramifications.
-Strong problem solving skills.
-Strong project management skills.
-Ability to work independently to achieve objectives without significant guidance.
-Familiarity with relevant contracts and legal terms and conditions; able to work effectively with legal counsel.
-Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, vlook up).
